Laura Striffler did her undergraduate training at the University of California, Irvine with a major in biologic sciences. She then went on to obtain her Masters Degree in Physician Assistant studies at Western University of Health Science in Pomona, California. She began her career in 2014 at Montefiore Medical Center as a hospitalist, then ventured into hepatobiliary surgery and liver transplantation at New York Presbyterian. Her personal life brought her to Connecticut where she spent four years caring for hospitalized patients at Yale New Haven Hospital with general gastrointestinal diseases.
She joined Digestive Disease Associates in 2022 to provide continuity of care in the outpatient setting, with a desire to build long term relationships with her patients. She has a specialized interest in gastroesophageal reflux disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease, with a focus on lifestyle modifications, diet, and complimentary medicine. She is a lifelong learner who strives to stay up to date on current gastrointestinal and hepatology guidelines and provide the standard of care to her patients.
